History of Halloween

The modern holiday of Halloween has its origins in the ancient Gaelic festival known as Samhain (pronounced /ˈsˠaunʲ/ from the Old Irish samain). The Festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is erroneously regarded as 'The Celtic New Year'.Traditionally, the festival was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. The Ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, where the bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them. When the Romans occupied Celtic territory, several Roman traditions were also incorporated into the festivals. Feralia, a day celebrated in late October by the Romans for the passing of the dead as well as a festival which celebrated the Roman Goddess Pomona, the goddess of fruit were incorporated into the celebrations. The symbol of Pomona was an apple, which is a proposed origin for the tradition of bobbing for apples on Halloween

Another "Save the world" movie. The film tells the story of Will Stanton, a young man who learns that he is the last of a group of warriors who have dedicated their lives to fighting the forces of the Dark. Traveling back and forth through time to collect 6 signs which will be use to "save the world" from dark rising. Will discovers a series of clues which lead him into a each sign.

I watched this movie in The Cathay with my classmates after school, apparently a heavy rains wasn't a reason to stop us from watching this movie haha we ran from Singapore Shopping Centre, yes... of course we wet as hell because none us bring a single damn umbrella ! hahaha but it was fun though... :p let;s do it again sometime haha

Hm... It has been 3 months since I know this brand, BeetleBug. This brand is specially made only for shoes, from leather to casual. First time I stepped to this store and saw all the design, I knew this place would be the only place for me to buy shoes! *seriously* here's a photo I took from my new Bug :P

Just went back from AMK Hub after watching Resident Evil: Extinction this movie is the 3rd series, so you better be watched the other two, or else... well, though they will explain an overall background from RE 1 and 2 the movie but you'll not fully understand the story.

!Spoiler Alert!

The story is about five to six months after RE2 and once again Milla Jovovich (as Alice) back in action, but this time round she has a Super Human Power that she gained from being imprison by the Umbrella Corp. known as "Project Alice"

After escaping from Umbrella Corp. (ending of RE2) she is now hiding in Nevada, in her journey she will found a notebook which indicated that there's still a place free from viruses, Alaska. There'll be new enemies, such as "Scarecrow Zombie" lol, I'm not joking, one or two scarecrow look alright, but how about surrounded by thousand or maybe million of them? well that was what Carlo and other survivor faced ! Yup, Alice will rejoin with her fellow survivor, Carlo and new character will be introduced, Claire (Nicky, from "Heroes" TV serial cast who has 'two personalities') which most likely will come out in RE 4, considering they have not show on how's Alaska will look like.

Because of the failure of the Umbrella Corp. to get Alice they just created a clone of Alice from the DNA that they extracted during the time Alice was in prisoned. But unfortunately none of them have the necessary blood factor that Dr. Isaacs needs for the Serum. He wanted to complete his research to cure Zombie, though they can not recover physically, but they can cure their hunger of flesh and maybe... train them?. When Weskers knew about what Dr. Isaacs wanted to do. He ordered that Isaacs must die, but before that happen Isaacs escape. He uses his own invention to hims self turning him into Tyrant.

That's the time when he continue to find Alice to get the remaining materials for the antidote and Alice will be forced to fight back, and of course the story ended with the death of Dr. Issacs aka Tyrant and now Alice has a new company, well... not really "new", maybe like... another hundred of Alice's Clone? (that was insane, and how's Resident Evil 4 will turn out with those clones... hm...)

the stories are "common" (almost make me yawn on every scene), the songs aren't that nice (compare with the first one)...

Finally another good quality gamed from NDS after... lets say.. New Super Mario Bros. ? eh? that was quite long ago... LOL yup at least for me :P

This game is awesome, from how we control the character, graphic quality, tricky puzzle and how they manage to maximum use of touch screen is just great ! The ability to write a notes on the map is really useful and interesting... no more remembering, just write what ever you need on the map, like secret passage, next destination and even place where we could blown by a bomb but we running out bombs or maybe some places which can't reach yet :P
