Impression of the first video game Symphony by PLAY!

Just came home, after watching video game concert by PLAY! in Esplanade Theatre, though I missed the first two songs which is the Concert Fanfare (by Nobuo Uematsu) and Super Mario Bros Theme (by Koji Kondo) caused of the rain and traffic jammed hahaha

The concert went quite well, though most of the game i have never play before :p from the 18 songs the perform, maybe I only know 6 of them haha. They also played 2 OST from brand new game which is Blue Dragon (XBOX360) and Last Odyssey, both by Nobuo Uematsu. We also have special appearance from Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (The Composer of Shenmue), He came on the stage and played Daytona USA main theme, live with piano (quite embarrassing in my opinion, cause a lot audience laughed on hows the singer sang) I think it was because the audience didn't really use to Japanese sing English song :p

Overall, the concert was good and the most anticipated song for me was the last one, which is Theme from Final Fantasy VII, One-Winged Angel. Their performance for this song was as good as what I expected, top notch! :D

Can't wait for another game concert in Singapore, Xenogears OST maybe? or dedicated concert for Square-Enix games? :D that would be awesome!

Btw, I got one photo from the performance, though is not so good (a bit dark) haha
